Arkady Dvorkovich
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation
A national program "Digital Economy" will be developed by the order of the Russian President this year. The best human resources of our country have been engaged in the process of drafting it. Presently, IT technologies are penetrating all spheres of our life. Further implementation of IT and in-depth using of these technologies will improve the effectiveness of all sectors, and integration of IT into international economic and digital space will ensure the coherence and unity of digital economy on a worldwide scale.

Digitalization needs active cooperation, including international one, between a lot of organizations. Thus, we've put forward the idea to organize the joint NES and Huawei conference on digital economy. It is a high-ranking event which will gather participants from around the world, so I hope that the conference will become an important venue not only for theoretical discourse, but for creation of a practical solid foundation for practical actions.
Shlomo Weber
Rector, Professor, NES
This year, the New Economic School is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Since day one, NES has established itself as the gateway of advanced international knowledge and studies in economics in Russia, and remains as such to this day. We built a leading economic and financial university in Russia, which gives students excellent education in accordance with international standards. Today, NES is leading by creating new promising programs, including cross-disciplinary ones — combining IT, economics, and finance. We recognize that development of digital economics is one of the most ultimate priorities and global innovative challenges for our country.

That is why NES together with Huawei is holding this joint conference "Challenges of the Digital Economy in Russia," with the support of the Russian government. I am sure this event will become a great platform for discussions, and an important step in the advancement of the digital economy in Russia. Also, I hope that, thanks to this conference, NES and many hi-tech companies will start cooperating and working closer together.
Amy Lin
Vice President, Huawei
Huawei is one of the leading ICT company, which was founded 30 years ago. This whole time, Huawei has followed one goal — to make a better connected world for better communication between people, as well as development of economy and society.

This year, Huawei celebrates its 20-year anniversary in Russia. Russia was the first foreign market for Huawei and continues to be one of the most important region globally. It is a great honor and our pleasure to share with the government, industry and society our experience and expertise.

I would like to thank the Government of Russia and the New Economic School for the unique opportunity to support the conference "Challenges of the Digital Economy in Russia. Let me wish you interesting discussions and success.
